Would you turn in a family member for child neglect or abuse?

if i knew a family member was abusing or neglecting a child- i would turn them in. its the right thing to do. just because someone is family doesn't mean your not allowed to turn them in for their wrong mistakes. everybody makes mistake but abuse and neglect isn't a mistake its a crime. and people who do crimes and break the law should be punished. if what they did was to an extent that the child was scared to death or they did it constantly you should immediatley tell someone. if it was a one time thing that they just did and had a good reason for it-you should just talk to that person. no one should have to suffer and family members aren't special when it comes to the law--God wants to do the right thing and the right thing is to turn that person in or give them some advice to clear their conscience so they can fix the problem.
