Is my dog crate-trained?

Sounds like he is crate trained but I also think it sounds like he spends far to much time in the crate. I would put him in there to sleep and while you work but leave him out the rest of time, he shouldnt be in the crate for longer than a couple of hours so he should come out for a pee during the day so maybe you could get someone to pop in with him during work hours. He should be allowed to play in the house whilst you are there otherwise whats the point of having a dog.
