Poll: Do You Think Atheism is a Religion/Philosophy?

I don't. Many people treat atheism as a belief system, and that is why some of them criticize it for being "simplistic." G.K. Chesterton called it "a very sad simplification." However, I think atheism is merely a negation of something, i.e. the existence of a god or gods. It does not say whether some actions are preferable to others, what the purpose of life is, or even whether miracles are possible or whether there is an afterlife. It seems to me that people often confuse a person's atheism with the ideology that he/she holds, whether it be secular humanism, radical traditionalism, or deep ecology.
